This 4" paring knife is small enough for peeling and paring but the elevated handle allows you to use it effectively on the cutting board as well.
Paring knives are designed for paring or peeling fruits and vegetables. They work best in your hands above the cutting board and therefore are designed with narrower blades. Knives in the 2½-4" range are generally preferred for working in your hands but 4-5" versions are more practical for use on the cutting board as small utility knives for slicing small fruits and vegetables.

Original Molybdenum steel has better edge-retention and is easier to sharpen than most other brands.
Hole punched near the tip for hanging the knife.
