Point Reyes Original Blue is a farmstead cheese (all diary for the cheese comes only from the creamery's own farm) from the coastal area of Marin County, just north of San Francisco.

This classic style blue is creamy and buttery, milky white with plenty of blue-green veins, with a strong aroma, and sweet flavors. You'll find the cheese has a peppery finish.

Point Reyes Original Blue is a farmstead cheese (all diary for the cheese comes only from the creamery's own farm) from the coastal area of Marin County, just north of San Francisco.  The creamery has won numerous awards including the World Cheese Awards Silver Award for their Point Reyes Blue Cheese.

This classic style blue is aged 100 days, and is creamy and buttery, milky-white with plenty of blue-green veins, with a strong aroma, and sweet flavors. You'll find the cheese has a peppery finish.


Serving Suggestions:

Delicious on it's own, you can serve a wedge with crackers or crusty bread as part of your cheese or charcuterie board.

Point Reyes Original Blue Cheese also works great as a topping on salads and or grilled vegetables.

Try melting on top of a burger, a steak, or into pasta.

Some customers enjoy drizzling honey over this flavorful cheese for a delicious contrast of flavors. 


Pairing Suggestions:

Wine: Fruit-forward red wines like New World Cabernet or Old Vine Zinfandel.  Tawny or Vintage Port.

Beer:  Dark, malty beers, such as Brown Ales, Porters, or Stouts.

Cider:  Semi-dry Hard Ciders.  Oak-aged ciders.
