Everyone has heard of Dijon Mustard - yet the quality of Meaux Mustard is known only to a select few - which is a shame. J.B Pommery is the original, and has been producing fine mustards in the Meaux region of France, just east of Paris, since 1760.
This Pommery Moutarde de Lion is a strained and silky-smooth mustard, that has an extra-strong, bold, and spicy flavor.

Produced in Meaux, France, outside of Paris by the Pommery family, the mustard still uses an original recipe from 1760, and it's ingredients are carefully selected for their distinctive qualities which gives the product a quality that many people have tried to imitate. Meaux mustards are similar in style to those of Dijon, except for the use of vinegar, whereas verjus or white wine is used in the preparation of Dijon.
